This Privacy Policy explains how Forge Martial Arts LLC, doing business as Forge Self Defense Academy ("Forge," "we," "us"), collects, uses, and protects information submitted through forgeselfdefensetx.com and through our text message program.

Information We Collect

We only collect the information we need to enroll a student and communicate with their family. When you submit a reservation or enrollment form, we collect:

Your name (and parent/guardian name, when enrolling a child)
Your email address
Your mobile phone number
Student information: first and last name, age, and gender
Optional details you choose to share — prior martial arts experience, other sports, program interest, preferred contact method, and any notes about the student

We do not collect payment card numbers, Social Security numbers, or government ID numbers through this website. We do not knowingly collect information directly from children — enrollment forms for minors are intended to be completed by a parent or legal guardian.

How We Use Your Information

To respond to enrollment and class inquiries
To place a student in the correct age-appropriate program
To send you operational school communication — class schedules, attendance, billing, and general announcements
To maintain accurate student and family records

We Do Not Sell Your Information

Forge Martial Arts LLC does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Mobile phone numbers and SMS opt-in data are never sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes. No mobile information is shared with third parties for their own marketing or promotional use.

We share information only with service providers that operate our systems on our behalf — for example, our messaging provider and our student management and email tools — and only to the extent needed to deliver the messages and services you requested. Those providers are not permitted to use your information for their own marketing. We may also disclose information if required by law.

SMS Program Disclosure

Program name: Forge Martial Arts School Communication.

Program description: A non-marketing, operational text message program for enrolled students and prospective families who have opted in. Messages relate to class schedules and schedule changes, attendance, billing and payment reminders, and general school communication such as closures and event logistics.

How you opt in: By checking the unchecked consent box on our enrollment or reservation form and submitting the form, or by texting us first. Consent is never pre-selected, and consent to receive text messages is not a condition of enrollment or of purchasing any service.

Message frequency: Message frequency varies.

Cost: Message and data rates may apply. Forge does not charge for these messages; your mobile carrier's standard rates apply.

Opting out: Reply STOP to any message at any time to be removed from the program. You will receive one confirmation message and then no further texts.

Getting help: Reply HELP to any message for assistance, or contact us using the details below. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Data Retention and Security

We keep enrollment records and consent records (including the date and time consent was given) for as long as needed to operate the school and to document compliance with messaging regulations. Information is stored using access-controlled systems, and only Forge staff who need it can see it.

Your Choices

You may request a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by contacting us. You may opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP, and out of marketing emails using the unsubscribe link. Opting out of texts does not affect your enrollment.

Cookies

This website uses only the minimal cookies and local storage needed for the site to function. We do not use cookies to build advertising profiles.
